Stanley Robotics

Stanley Robotics develops autonomous robotic valet parking for airports, using outdoor-capable robots that lift and move cars plus software that optimizes parking density. It solves airport long-stay parking bottlenecks like wasted time searching for spaces, inefficient space utilization, and vehicle movements inside parking areas by shifting parking into a drop-off cabin workflow and letting robots park cars closer together with centralized control.

KEY OFFERINGS

  • Autonomous Valet Parking (Stan robots + fleet software): Robots lift and reposition vehicles and the software optimizes slotting to increase parking density and automate retrieval.

  • Automated drop-off and pick-up cabins: Cabin-based handover points that standardize vehicle intake and return for passengers.

  • Parking operations model for 24/7 service: Designed for continuous operations with measurable capacity uplift claims (e.g., up to +50% density).

/CASE STUDY

Stanley Robotics’ autonomous valet parking is implemented at multiple airports, with the most concrete large-scale deployment at Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport (LYS), where in March 2023 the P5+ car park expanded the robot-managed service to 500 spaces using 4 autonomous robots operating in parallel and 12 drop-off/return cabins. Other airports that signed up for the service include London Gatwick and Basel Mulhouse (noted by Stanley Robotics as signed up by 2020).
